Redshirts to celebrate grand opening of go6TV

BANGKOK, Oct. 10 - "Red-shirts" movement co-leaders said they would start rally on Sunday at 2 p.m. to commemorate persons who died during their prolonged protest this year.


According to Sombat Boonngamanong, leader of Red Sunday Group, another branch of "red-shirts", said his group and Advanced Society Assembly would together hold an activity to commemorate dead persons who died in the protest this year at 6 p.m. at the Democracy Monument.


The police expected about 5,000-7,000 red-shirts would turn out Sunday to join the rally to demand for the release of their detained leaders and members.
About 3,300 policemen from provincial police region 1, 2 and 7 and border petrol police would be deployed in Bangkok areas on Sunday to ensure law and order.
